LFC look to continue their hot start after the international break squaring off against a hobbled Newcastle team looking for points. Liverpool currently holds an unbeaten streak of 37 straight matches at Anfield and look to continue this blistering pace. With Manchester City constantly nipping at the heels near the top of the tables, Liverpool needs to continue winning and racking up the points. Currently they stand 2 points clear of Man City alone atop the EPL tables but one miscue could see a marvelous streak come to an end.
Newcastle enters hobbled
Andy Carroll, former red, is not expected to start as he recovers from a nasty knee injury. Without a critical piece of their attacking core, it is unlikely Van Dijk and Matip will face overwhelming pressure especially after warding off speedy strikers of Arsenal.
Midfield Pace Key to Success
When Liverpool commands possession in the midfield, they are nearly impossible to beat. The transition from midfield to attack is of the most lethal in the premier league. If Henderson and Alexander-Arnold are able to continue they laser accurate service from the wing and midfield, Newcastle will have their hands full and struggle to stop.
The Three Headed Monster will Be Big
Between the speed and finesse of Sadio Mane, power and touch of Firmino, and surgical striking capability of Salah, I predict several goals to be scored on a lackluster Newcastle defense. Salah and Mane with both find the back of the net continuing their goal scoring terror throughout the EPL.
Final Predictions
Liverpool come out refreshed after the international break resulting in an early score from Salah born out of high pressuring midfielders hungry to be back on the pitch. Liverpool dominates possession unfortunately a foolhardy mistake by Adrian keeps a clean sheet off the books. No matter Mane nets two in the second half with another brilliant goal from Alexander-Arnold and LFC continues atop the tables winning easily capturing another 3 points.
