I'm not PISSD after going 1-2 considering the colossal dumpster fire the initial Norwich/Leicester choice was. To start, how did I reverse the fixture, the game was at Carrow Road and I had it at King Power? Secondly, I consider the entire pick is null and void because Vardy didn't even DRESS for the game, so of course he couldn't have scored the double! The silver lining is I knew something was going to give and with no Vardy, that left Norwich scoring. Moral victory?
Premier Picks
1) Man City (+340) @ Man Utd (-130) Draw (+310)
-Fernandes & Ighalo have scored 6 goals between them in all competitions and 5 out of the last 11 EPL games at Old Trafford have ended as draws.
-City's record against the "Big Six" is as stellar as John Stones defending, only winning 3 out of 9 and with no Laporte (again) leaves the backline vulnerable.
-Sunday Funday at Old Trafford and 3 points off the Top 4, Man Utd is difficult to beat at home.
Pick: Draw (+310)
2) West Ham United (+150) @ Arsenal (+170) Draw (+260)
-West Ham at the Emirates, don't even bother getting off the bus, they have won 1 of the last 9 games there.
-Gunners are unbeaten in 7 EPL matches, 3Ws and 4Ds - all victories came at the Emirates.
-Aubameyang tied for Golden Boot lead (17 goals) and West Ham is conceding goals faster than most EPL teams.
Pick: Win Arsenal (+170)
3) Everton (+210) @ Chelsea (+140) Draw (+200)
-Ancelotti could be the Manager of Year, have lost 2 of their 11 EPL games because he's made Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin into a dynamic potent attacking machine.
-Chelsea has won 1 out of their last 6 EPL games, Draw vs. Bournemouth, Loss to Newcastle, and somehow they are 4th in the table.
-Other factors point to this being a Draw or Everton victory, however something tells me that Frank's guys are going to find a way to get a positive result.
Pick: Win Chelsea (+140)
Ponderings
1) PISSD?
Dwight Schrute from The Office told Jim Halpert "Imitation is the highest form of flattery" and is quite possibly one of the funniest scenes in the shows history. That being said the BLOKES at PISSD are desperately grasping for any form of relevance - did they also contact the Men in Blazers to falsely accuse them as well?
2) Is it Nigel Pearson or Carlo Ancelotti as Manager of the Year?
I don't believe they give Co-Manager's of the Year, but if it was to ever happen this would be the year and these two would certainly be the winners. The resurrections of Everton and Watford's seasons are well documented thus far and only solidified with recent results. However, if I had to choose either one, it would be Pearson at Watford. He's incrementally leading them out of the bottom 3 and he just knocked off Liverpool 3-0.
3) Is Kepa done at Chelsea?
For the most part, Yes. Frank threw him a bone and started him against Liverpool in the FA Cup. He played very well, made some key saves and a clean sheet. However, he hasn't played in an EPL game since January and reports are already coming out that Ugurcan Cakir is their target replacement.
